The Crimson Contract
King of Gilbadorth
King Arados was born into a long line of hated royalty. Many of his predecessors were selfish kings who had no qualms about ruling their subjects harshly, or else lazy kings who may have had decent hearts, but gave no proof of any good nature through their complete inaction to change anything in their kingdom.
Arados was the third son born to Arion and Gwendolla. Seen as unnecessary, he was sent away to the neighboring country of Albren to be educated. His brother Darnell, the royal spare, died during what the king called “a hunting accident”. Once the Arion passed away, his heir Jadorn was crowned. Jadorn’s reign was short, for he was soon assassinated, presumably by a member of The Crimson Contract.
Arados was brought back to Gilbadorth to fill the empty throne. Knowing very little about the issues that his subjects face due to spending the majority of his life in Albren, and having not been trained in kingly skills, Arados relies heavily on his advisers, most of whom are known to have connections to The Crimson Contract.
